WARM Center operates two Family Emergency Shelter Programs—Harvest Homes and Family Interim Housing—to provide stability and support for families experiencing homelessness. Unlike traditional congregate shelters, both programs utilize scattered-site apartments throughout Southern Rhode Island, ensuring parents and children have a safe, private space to live while they work toward long-term housing.
A Stable, Family-Centered Approach
Scattered-Site Apartments – Families are housed in community-based apartments, reducing the trauma children often experience in congregate shelter settings.
Intensive Case Management – Dedicated case managers partner with families to set goals, connect with community resources, and create a plan for lasting stability.
Focus on Children’s Wellbeing – By living in an apartment, children maintain a sense of normalcy, helping them thrive while their parents work toward permanent housing solutions.
